“We’re all guilty of hiding things—it’s the nature of the world today. We hide our feelings, we hide our pasts, we hide our true intentions. There’s no way to know what’s real anymore.”
Disclaimer: this is not to be used as a replacement for proper medical treatment if you have anxiety disorder.
Anxiety is a normal thing that all of us experience at some point or another. But sometimes this energy can build up in your living space whether you have anxiety disorder or you went through a long stressful period. This is a little cleansing ritual you can use to rid your space of stagnant, unwanted anxious energy specifically.
Play your calming music, there really is no set genre for this. Whatever you find soothing and helps you stay in a good state of mind is plenty sufficient. However you do it, just make sure it keeps playing through out the cleanse. Before starting, breath in deeply and picture that music flowing into your body. Exhale and release your stress. If you need to do this a few more times, do so.
Now you will take your lavender flowers and light them so they start to smoke. Lavender flowers (unless you are using a dried bundle meant for smoke cleansing) don’t tend to stay burning to keep the lighter with you. Walk around the border of your room, starting from the most northern corner and waft the smoke about your space. Do this three times always starting and ending at the northern point. As you do this, focus on the lavender smoke chasing away, banishing the residual anxiety and stress before setting your lavender aside.
For the last step, take your moon water and sprinkle it around your space. This is consecrating your space. Focus on it bringing in a light and clean energy. Take a moment to take in the music that you have playing and then you are all done!
do you ever roll up your sleeves to wash your hands and one of the sleeves starts slipping down like its attracted to the water and all you can think is “dont you fucking dare”
million dollar idea: instead of spending thousands of dollars on steady-cam equipment, filmmakers should just attach a camera to the head of a chicken and carry the chicken around as you film.
